Time management strategy Dema
- Use the cool-off time to read all sections (15 minutes for Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
- For 1-score question: 2 minutes
- For 2-score question: 4 minutes
- For 3-score question: 5 minutes
- Keep the last 4 minutes to revise and improve the answers.
Here's how you can utilise the cool-off time effectively
1. Do a quick full scan of the paper
- Spend the first 2-3 minutes flipping through all the pages.
- Mark the easy and familiar questions with a tick.
- Put a small dot next to questions that need more thought.
- The paper has specific instructions on how to write answers, the score for each, and time allocation.
- Note high-mark questions so that you can plan to give them enough detail.
3. Plan the order of your answer
- Decide whether you will start with the easiest or highest-scoring questions.
- In Biology, it's best to start with short, easy questions to score quickly, then attempt the longer ones.
