Bachelor of Science in Optometry

• B.Sc Optometry is an undergraduate course of 4-year duration, divided into three years of academics and one year of the compulsory internship. This course is a dynamic and challenging career option in the medical field that focuses on the study of examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system. In this course, students learn various aspects of visual optometry, physiology of eye structure, visual aids, usage and handling of optometry equipment.

Eligibility

• Students who aspire to seek admission to B.Sc Optometry course are required to fulfil the given minimum eligibility criteria:
• ▷ The candidates must have completed their 10+2 from a recognised board of education with 50% aggregate in the science stream with either PCB/PCM/PCMB.
• The aspirants appearing for 10+2 examination can also apply for this course, but they need to provide their exam scores at the time of counselling.
• The candidates should have attained the age of 17 years on the 1st November of the year of admission. There is no maximum age limit.
