Bachelor of Audiology & Speech- Language Pathology (B.ASLP)
- Bachelor of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (B.ASLP) is a four-year programme that deals with the study of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders in people. Candidates who wish to work in the healthcare industry, as a speech therapist should opt for this course. In this course, students learn various aspects of audiology, speech language, along with various methods to help individuals with speech, language and hearing disorders. B.ASLP syllabus consists both of theory and practical subjects. The subjects of B.ASLP course include physiology, basic human anatomy, adult neuro-communication disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, rehabilitative audiology, etc., making the candidates ready in every facet of this field. In the final year, the students undergo internship and training for the rehabilitation of people, who are suffering from speaking.
- Admission to the course occurs on the basis of merit and entrance test. NEET UG and IPU CET are some common entrance exams.
- For getting admission to this course in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, a candidate must have passed 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50% Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with English (core or elective or functional) as a subject of study in the qualifying examination.
Job Perspectives
- B.ASLP students go on to become Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists after completing this course. After completing the course, one can work as Audiologist, Clinical Supervisor, Speech Pathology Reader, Professor, Speech Therapist, Audiometry Technician, etc., in hospitals, laboratories, colleges, research institutes, etc.

Eligibility
The eligibility criteria to get admission in this course are as follows.
- Candidates must have completed 12th from a recognised board with a minimum 50% aggregate Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics as the compulsory subject from a recognised board.
- Students who belong to SC/ST/OBC get a relaxation of 5%.
