Bachelor of Veterinary Science

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc) is an undergraduate course of 5.5 years with 6 months of compulsory internship in the field of veterinary science that aims to impart the knowledge required for nourishment, breeding, study of medical diagnosis and treatment of animals. Veterinary science is a branch that deals with the study of animal immunology. It also monitors the prevention of widespread disease. Veterinary medicines covers all types of animals from domestic animals to wild animals.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology with a minimum of 50% in aggregate from CBSE/ICSE/State Board or equivalent. The minimum age for admission in B.V.Sc is 17 years. However, the maximum age limit goes up to 25 years.
  • Relaxation of one year is provided for reserved category candidates in terms of age. And the relaxation of 5% in terms of marks is provided for scheduled caste and scheduled tribes and other reserved category candidates.

  • The admissions to B.V.Sc degree is done on the basis of NEET scores (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency).
